Land of My Fathers

Look at that poor dumb American bastard...

Two years ago, I celebrated St. Patrick's Day in Ireland. It's difficult to believe it's been that long... In any case, it was one of the greatest days of my life. The sky opened up (for once), the sun shined on Ireland, the Irish kicked the ever-lovin' snot out of the damn British, and everyone above the age of 9 went pleasantly to pieces on a steady diet of Smithwick's, Guinness, and salted peanuts. Above, I am enjoying what I'm sure was my 15th pint in Monroe's Tavern, the best (and only) place to get decent pizza in Galway.

If The Intern asks, this is what studying looks like in Ireland... Seriously.
